Work-Life Balance

It was an honour to be asked to speak at #Irisworld 2020.

I was interviewed by Gareth Charles and prior to this event he and I travelled the UK speaking at, I think it was 9, other events covering much of the same topic here, but meeting accountants up and down the country, who when asked told very similar stories.

Iris have (at the time of writing this) something like 650,000 business owners as customers and 21,000 customers who are accountants, "so what", you might say?

If they were to survey their customers, we'd be certainly in the bottom 20% for of their sales, maybe even in the bottom 1%, but here I am on a huge stage sharing what we do that gets better results than most...

... I see every day accountants struggle and that is down to 3 principle areas that most are getting wrong.

  • Poor Pricing, which leads to low rewards and cashflow issues
  • Poor Systems, I don't mean accounting, you probably got that sorted, but your own business systems
  • Poor Positioning, you intrinsic and extrinsic thinking, we become what we think about and our past thinking got us to where we are now

I can and will help you fix all these, all you got do is get on a call to see if you qualify.

I live in Dorset with the gorgeous Vicki, we've got 4 grown-up children, a dog called Eddie and a stupid cat!. I'm an accountant just like you and have built a practice that has no UK staff, no office and never runs to other people's deadlines or their stresses. My practice provides us with a full-time income on part-time input leaving me time to pursue other interests, one of which is I want to help Sole Practitioners just starting out to avoid the pain and suffering I went through when I first started prime entry.
